An angry Berliner fought off guards and beheaded a life-sized waxwork of Adolf Hitler only minutes after the Nazi dictator’s model went on public display at a newly opened branch of Madame Tussauds in the city.

Police said the attacker, a 41-year-old German man, walked up to the figure of Hitler who was depicted looking downcast and sitting morosely at a table his Berlin bunker, and first appeared to wrestle with the waxwork.

Berhard Schrodowski, a Berlin police spokesman added: “The museum guards tried to restrain him, but he fought them off and then tore off the waxwork figure’s head. Afterwards several visitors to the exhibition managed to restrain him,” he added.

Police were called to the museum and the man was arrested shortly afterwards. Police said he would be charged with causing wilful damage to property.

I say we need to go to Berlin ASAP to see headless Hitler…

Why is it the customer service of airlines is down-right rude? This story is a perfect example of why the airline industry is doomed for failure and reinvention. Moral of the story: Don’t check your bags.

Private Ryan…

July 31st, 2007

Is said it is filmed in Omaha beach, Normandy but the rumour says it actually was filmed in Gold beach… Is that the truth? Maybe it is, maybe not but to tell the truth, I actually don’t care. Only thing that matters was those brave men who fought for their lives there, Allied AND Germans. Glory to those who survived and who didn’t. That has to be closest to hell man can imagine. Think if you had to be there!! No thanks.

But history always repeats itself so let’s enjoy while we can, let’s learn from history that it never happens again. The famous film from Finland was a very good replica that we wish our leaders never hit their head to Karelia trees… How true.

Also what terrible memories must French people have, living in middle of warzone, scaring for their lives, especially their children’s lives, wives lives, husbands lives, relatives, friends lives. What a living hell that must have been.

Huh…

Hey, something to comment, please do so. Here or at our forums.

Your all welcome!!!

I found some useful sites about tourism in Normandy but it seems there aren’t that much of a people who wants to share thoughts. Is it that French people don’t want or maybe language problems, I don’t know.. Maybe their history has teach them to silence, like us here in Finland. But have to remember I was at contact just a few people, and ofcourse reason might be me too. (Me evil) ;)

What I found out was that Brits are almost running everything there, owning houses, restaurants etc.. Maybe there comes one reason not to be so welcoming to foreigners, I know we do for Russians. Well, whatever, those places in Normandy seems just so stunning that I can’t keep my eyes of those millions of pictures I see in the net. Not exactly only historical but also those buildings, castles, farms, rivers, everything just keeps me wanting for more. Especially my mind is wandering to those little rivers, I can imagine those places at evening with fishing rod in my hand, fishes eating bugs, sunset… Ain’t that what life should be? Yes, for me.

We, me and my friends are one day closer to get there, even one day closer when we meet again to sit back, have a few, fishing, planning our trip and next meeting, when and where. But all have one goal. Turn to forty.

That’s it for now, will keep you all posted again when something comes up.

Cheers

Nettisivuissa kaikki osiot siirtyy jo omalle sivulle, pikkuhiljaa sinnekin saadaan aineistoa.
